MERRIAM EAGLES CLUB

For those of us who went to the Merriam Eagles Club for the Dinner before the New Years Eve dance, the meal was great! My steak was nearly perfect and my wife and daughter reported theirs were too. Our complements to the chef!

Although we were missing fiddler Marvin Bredemeier and Willie Nelson sound-alike Dave Purcell, the rest of the band was outstanding.

A high-point of the evening was when it was announced that January 1, 2011 would be Larry Dean and wife, Rosie's Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary. Annie Little honored the couple with a couple of appropriate songs. I don't know the title of either but they were certainly beautiful songs for the occasion.

A little later, Ron Fine came up to sing us a couple of songs, he is always a very welcome guest.

At midnight the noise makers and Champagne came out, I'll bet the entire neighborhood heard our celebration!!

After the dance ended at 12:30; the evening was topped off with some biscuits & Gravy.

All-in-All, it was a good evening and a great party!!
