BK LOUNGE

The crowd at the lounge was smaller than usual but still a decent size group was there considering the weather. The lounge looks so nice since the remodel, even the flat screen TV was a good touch.

The entire band was on hand except we were missing regulars Art Covey and Ron Fine. Marvin and Sug had just returned from an eight day cruise to the eastern Mediterranean with Annie's group from Tonganoxie.

Before the show began, Gordon said a few words in tribute to Roger Hawkins who passed away early yesterday morning. Then he read a tribute to him that was printed in this web-site. Larry closed the tribute with a beautiful, moving rendition of Roger's favorite gospel song, "It Is No Secret".

We want to thank Darrel Phillips who filled in on the bass guitar during the second half of our show. Mary enjoyed some dancing and visiting with the fans as Darrel did a great job on her bass.

There was some discussion but it is now official that the Thursday dinner and show at the Grinter Barn Jamboree has been canceled for this month due to the inclement weather approaching. We plan to see everyone there on Thursday, February 17.
