GRINTER BARN JAMBOREE

Great! Great show at the Grinter Barn Jamboree last night. Beginning with the Ladies of "Friends of Grinter" serving a delicious Cheezy Beef & Noodle dinner. That was followed by a fantastic show from the Stranger Creek Band.

Larry Dean was suffering a sore throat and laryngitis and was unable to do a lot of singing. He did manage a couple of songs with a deep voice that sounded pretty good to me. He spent most of the evening supporting the band with his guitar, he and Garry had several jokes to tell which the crowd seemed to enjoy. The rest of the band consisting of Dave Purcell, Garry and Mary Bichelmeyer, Gordon Riley and Marvin Bredemeier stepped up and did a great job of taking care the vocals for Larry.

We had not been to the Grinter House since November so everyone was eager to be back. The dancers kept the floor filled most of the evening.

We will be back for the next Grinter Barn Jamboree on Thursday, March 17, 2011. More details will follow later on that event.

Larry announced that we will do an all "Rock & Roll" program on Thursday, April 21, 2011. Everyone should begin planning their 50's style clothes to wear. We will be hoping to see everyone dressed like they dressed in the 50's. You remember the Brylcream in the guys hair and tee shirts with cigarettes rolled up in the sleeves. of course the ladies wearing petticoats and poodle skirts. I'm sure there will be lots of entertainment going on all evening so please mark your calendar and plan to attend with us.

We hope to see you all next Tuesday at the BK Lounge.
