APRIL 15, 2010
GRINTER BARN

People began lining up early for the great Sloppy Jo's, chips, carrots and fruit cup prepared by the ladies with "Friends of Grinter". As usual, the food was outstanding.

AT 6:30 the band moved front and center and for the next two and a half hours the place was rockin'. Our special guest, ARNIE JOHNSON was in fine form and is always enthusiastically received.

We still missed our good friend Jim Rumsey as he continues to recover from knee surgery but we understand he will be back soon.

The show continued without a hitch until Garry Bichelmeyer stepped up to close out the show with "The Rebel Soldier". As soon as he started the fireworks began and those of us in the audience thought the Civil War had begun all over again with all "Popping" and "Banging"! Apparently we developed an electrical short somewhere in the sound system. Unable to locate the problem the show was terminated quickly. I'm sure that Larry Dean has spent today trying to locate and fix the problem before our much anticipated trip to the Brown's Grand Theater in Concordia Kansas for the concert on Sunday.
